St Martin History
St Martin
was founded in 2003 under the
general management of Manu
Massabova. Manu and his
brother Alain have been
working for quiet a while in
the BMX business and they
always did their own thing.
Alain is editor in chief of Cream
Magazine and team manager
of A Bad
Thing, Manu is also
involved with St Martin and is
also the team manager. In the
past years St Martin developed
into a BMX Flatland company
that needs to be taken
serious. As one of their first
riders they announced BMX
Flatland legend Simon O'Brien
from Australia. In the
meantime the St Martin Global
Flatland Team consists of 10
riders, from Europe, the
United States and Asia.
Light, lighter, the
lightest - this, combined with
innovative design are the
attributes by which you can
describe the St
Martin products best.
The Flatland frames are aimed
at both, purists as well as
new school Flatland riders.
Simple BMX designs made only
out of straight tubes are
combined with functional
frames that are sometimes
designed asymmetrical. The
most interesting part they
offer at the moment is
probably the St
Martin "Hollo" Front Hub.
With a weight of only 190 gram
it is the lightest hub on the
BMX market. The prices of
St Martin are
in the middle range, so you
better be happy and get that
stuff!
