Vibe FAQ
Who or what was Vibe?
Vibe was a BMX Video Magazine Project, released on DVD, which was created and driven by Jeff Desroche. It documented the BMX scene, with a strong focus on technical Flatland Riding.
What did Vibe stand for?
Vibe stood for the in-depth documentation of the core BMX Flatland scene of its time, the mid-2000s. It provided a platform for influential riders and captured the progression and style of that era, even outside of mainstream contests.
What made Vibe products special?
Its specialty was the video magazine format, which offered longer-form content. Issue 7, "Yours 2 Discover" (released around 2005), is a great example: It features a "Best of" retrospective of the legendary Metro Jam contest series (with riders like Chase Gouin, Andrew Faris, Chad deGroot) and super hard combos from Jeff DesRoche, Raphael Chiquet, Kev Desaultes, and Cory Fester.
Is Vibe still active?
Vibe is no longer an active video magazine. It is a legacy media project representing a specific period in BMX history and has been superseded by online video platforms.
