Manitou

Manitou started in 1986 in Manitou, Colorado, in the place where most bike tinkering happens: a garage. Founder Doug Bradbury, now in the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, saw early that the young sport of mountain biking needed suspension and brought one of the very first suspension forks to market in 1989. Today Manitou is part of Hayes Performance Systems and builds forks and shocks for every use: the R8 for XC, Mattoc and Mezzer for trail and enduro, the Dorado for downhill, the Circus for dirt jump, the JUNIT for kids bikes and the Mastodon for fatbikes, plus the Mara shocks.
