The Mutant Bikes "Owl MK3" Cassette Hub - Oilslick is a high quality cassette hub and conceals inside its high quality CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminium housing solid and reliable cassette hub technology. The 14mm Female axle of the of this cassette hub is made of durable and hardened CrMo and drilled hollow to save weight. The peculiarity of this Mutant Bikes "Owl MK3" Cassette Hub - Oilslick is the 9T Driver unit which is in contrast to many conventional cassettes which have a 25 tooth pawl recording inside the housing, equipped with a 120 micro tooth pawl recording which is driven with three pawls which have a likewise fine toothed back surface. This special 120 micro tooth Driver unit is more accurate and durable than a conventional 9T Driver Unit with 6 pawls and a 25 tooth pawl recording since the fine toothed surface of the pawls provides a larger attack surface and hence a pawl breakage can be virtually closed out. In addition the 9T Driver of this Mutant Bikes "Owl MK3" Cassette Hub - Oilslick is equipped with high quality and long life polymer bushing bearings and offers you a virtually maintenance free cassette hub which is very durable and which offers you a unique sound.
