The founding was rather a by-product of a turbulent road trip. Ralph Sinisi never initially planned to start a company. After a session at a university in Georgia led to a confrontation with a professor and nearly a month in jail for the crew (including Ralph, Mike Tag, Bob Scerbo), Ralph had a flash of inspiration for Animal Bikes during a sleepless night while camping.
Where does the name "Animal" come from?
The name comes directly from the crew's slang. "Animal" had long been their standard expression for anything they considered "sick" – whether it be tricks, rails, or riders. Since the company was founded to represent their own scene and support friends, Animal Bikes was the only logical name.
