Inspyre Bicycles FAQ
Founded with Passion
Inspyre was founded in the Rhône-Alpes region by Marc Lecossois and Dorian Riou, both former BMX race riders. Marc brings over 25 years of BMX experience, including 10 years in the Elite class, along with solid expertise in sales and product management. Dorian practically grew up on a BMX bike, started working in retail at a young age, and later made his way into BMX distribution as well. Together, they wanted to create a brand that represents the true values of BMX – authentic, performance-driven, and built with attention to detail.
The Idea Behind Inspyre
The idea matured over several years – inspired by the question: why not build bikes we want to ride ourselves? During a return flight from Asia, the name Inspyre was born out of this vision. In 2016, the first model, the EVO, hit the market – race-ready and an instant success.
High-End with a Story: The Concorde
Alongside the EVO, the desire grew to develop a high-end frame model for professional riders. Together with Elite rider Jérémy Rencurel, the Concorde was born – a frame with innovative geometry, tested under real- world World Cup racing conditions. Its name was inspired by the legendary supersonic aircraft, a symbol of speed and technical excellence. Since 2017, the Concorde has been in use – continuously refined and crowned with World Cup wins and a World Championship title in 2022.
Focus on Innovation
At Inspyre, innovation is not just a buzzword – it's a core principle of product development. From materials and welding techniques to geometry: every frame is optimized using professional feedback and tested under real conditions. The goal is to create bikes that help riders achieve their best performance – whether in competition or just having fun on the track.
