MTB Tubeless Accessories FAQ

Why Tubeless on a Dirt Bike?

Although tubes are still standard, some pros are switching to tubeless.
Advantage: No tube = no "snakebite" (pinch flat) when hitting edges. Plus, it saves weight and the tire rolls better.
Disadvantage: Air can escape during extremely hard landings or "burping" (tire pushed off rim in corners).

What do I need for the conversion?

  1. Tubeless Rim Tape: Must seal the rim airtight (glued).
  2. Tubeless Valve: Screwed tightly into the rim (usually SV/Presta).
  3. Sealant: Seals small punctures automatically while riding.

What do the specifications mean?

Specification Explanation Examples/Available
Valve Length Must match rim height. 44mm, 60mm
Tape Width Must match inner rim width (+2mm). 25mm, 30mm
