MTB Barends
They are small, inconspicuous, but your life insurance on the bike. Bar Ends prevent the handlebar tube from coring your body during a crash ("Core Sample"). Never ride without them! We offer simple plastic plugs and high-quality screw-in aluminum ends.

MTB Barends FAQ
What are bar ends and why are they so important?
An open metal tube at the end of the handlebar acts like a hole punch in a crash. Bar ends (plugs) close off this opening. They are mandatory at all races and in every bike park.
Additionally, they protect your handlebars and grips when the bike tips over or slides across asphalt.
What types are there?
- Push-In (Plastic/Rubber)
- Simply pushed into the handlebar. They are light, cheap, and included with most grips. Disadvantage: They get lost more easily during crashes.
- Screw-In (Wedge)
- Usually made of aluminum with an internal wedge mechanism. Tightening a bolt expands the wedge inside the bar. They sit extremely securely and do not fall out.
Do all bar ends fit my handlebars?
Almost all MTB and BMX handlebars have an outer diameter of 22.2mm. However, the inner diameter can vary (depending on wall thickness, e.g., Alloy vs. CrMo vs. Carbon).
- High-quality screw-in ends (e.g., from Odyssey or Title) often come with different rubber rings or wedges to fit any handlebar.
