What makes a good BMX stem?
A good BMX stem is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium; 7075 is the noticeably stronger alloy and therefore the high-end choice. CNC-machined stems hold tolerances better than die-cast ones and keep their clamping force - forged is strong too. The bolts should be CrMo, because they hold bar and steerer under full load. Frontloader or topload is not a quality question but one of bar height and riding style. More on this in the category FAQ

kunstform Picks from the BMX Stems category
Our history with BMX parts did not start when we opened kunstform in 2003: some of the team have been riding longer than the shop has existed, and most of us are still on a bike today. So we know pretty well which parts we can trust. A kunstform Pick therefore only goes to what we would bolt onto our own bikes: parts where the quality and the value are right, and that you will enjoy for a long time.
