MTB Mudguards

A mudguard on a mountain bike keeps the spray out of your face and off your back without making the bike look like a tourer. The short front guards weigh a few grams, fasten to the fork with cable ties and come off again in a minute. At the rear a saddle rail model does the same job. Most guards can be trimmed to length so they do not touch the tyre when the fork is fully compressed. Check the clearance between tyre and fork arch, then the guard sits close enough to the wheel to actually catch something.
