Shirt or jacket?

The line between them is blurred. A protective shirt has a tighter cut and is worn under the jersey; a jacket sits looser and often carries harder shells. If you sweat a lot, the shirt works better; if you expect hard impacts, the jacket does.

What is covered?

Almost every model protects back, chest, shoulders and elbows. Whether the back protector is stitched in or removable is listed with each item. Removable is handy for washing and for riding without it now and then.
