A seat post carries parts that are neither post nor saddle and still decide whether the two fit together. That includes shims and spacer plates which adapt a saddle angle adjuster to the head of the post, plus adapters, clamp bolts and small parts for dropper posts. Check the model of your post before you buy, because the heads differ from brand to brand and almost nothing here is universal.
