Brunox FAQ
Who or what is Brunox?
BRUNOX is a Swiss brand for corrosion protection, lubricants and care products. It started in 1985, when founder Bruno Lieberherr patented the first rust stopper and primer in one, straight from an aerosol can. BRUNOX AG was founded in 1994, followed two years later by its own building in Uznach and the German subsidiary BRUNOX Korrosionsschutz GmbH in Ingolstadt. Since 2008 the company has been based in a new building in Neuhaus, canton of St. Gallen.
What does Brunox do on a bike?
Next to automotive, agriculture and industry, the bicycle is a product line of its own. Turbo-Spray lubricates, protects against corrosion, displaces moisture and loosens seized parts. Top-Kett is an all-weather chain oil, Turbo-Clean an acetone-free brake cleaner, Carbon Care cleans and polishes carbon parts, and Deo keeps suspension fork seals supple.
What is typical of Brunox?
The formulas contain no silicone, PTFE or graphite. According to the maker, Turbo-Spray keeps lubricating down to minus 50 degrees Celsius and Top-Kett down to minus 41 degrees Celsius.
