Tip Top

REMA TIP TOP has stood for tyre repair made in Germany since 1923. The company grew out of the trading business of brothers Otto and Willy Gruber, and shortly after the Second World War it developed a cold vulcanising compound that made a permanent tube repair possible without heat. That compound is what gave the brand its name. Production has run at the Poing plant near Munich since 1954, and the company is still based there today. Tip Top is best known for the little green repair box that has been living in saddle bags and tool boxes for decades. The patches with their characteristic orange edge and the SVS-Vulc vulcanising fluid are matched to each other: cold vulcanisation starts on first contact and bonds patch and tube permanently. Alongside the classic patch kits, the range covers tyre sealants, mounting fluid and tubeless repair material.
