What makes a good pair of BMX pedals?
Good BMX pedals have a heat-treated 4130 CrMo axle - it carries the entire load on landing and is the standard everything else is measured against. Either body works: nylon-fibreglass is light and cheap to replace, aluminium with replaceable pins grips harder. Sealed (industrial) bearings are the high-end marker: they keep dirt and water out and need no maintenance, while standard bearings are serviceable but want looking after more often.
