The Reverse Components "AirCon" Replacement Pads - Shimano XTR 2000-2011 are the refill pads for the Reverse AirCon system. They consist of a steel backing plate and an organic compound, and the aluminium fins from your existing set go straight back on. That is the point of the system: the pad wears out, the fin does not. These pads cannot be used without the AirCon cooling fins.
