What makes a good BMX fork?
A good BMX fork is made from heat-treated 4130 CrMo, which allows thinner walls at the same strength. The dropouts decide the rest: investment-cast or forged ends survive grinds and hard landings far longer than plain stamped plate. Better forks also use a one-piece, butted steerer tube, saving weight exactly where no forces act. High-end forks for BMX park and BMX flatland are made from high-grade titanium, offering the best weight-to-strength ratio of all. More on this in the category FAQ
