The Renthal "Apex" MTB Ahead Stem is Renthal's all-round stem for all mountain, enduro and XC. Its bar clamp wraps the handlebar over 240 degrees instead of pinching it between two narrow shells: the clamping force spreads out, and the notch a bar usually cracks at never forms. The body is 3D hollow-machined from 7075 aluminium, hollowed out wherever material does not carry load. That makes it 106g in 31mm reach and 118g in 40mm. The bolts are CrMo, the finish is anodised. An Ahead cap is not included.
