Sunday Bikes 2027: The new bikes are here and built up

The 2027 Sunday bikes have arrived. We opened the boxes, built the bikes up, and they are now standing in our shop in Stuttgart. And honestly: Sunday has done it again. Design, quality and value for money go together, and not just on one model but across the whole range, from the 14 inch kids' bike to the signature bikes.

What has convinced us about Sunday for years is how well thought out the bikes are. Nothing is overloaded, but where it counts when riding, nothing was skimped on. You cannot see that in a photo, but you feel it from the first session.

Primer 14, 16 and 18 inch: an aluminium frame for the little ones

The best example is the Primer kids' range. The 14, 16 and 18 inch models come with an aluminium frame that is proven in BMX freestyle and that Sunday now builds in kids' sizes. The frame makes the bikes noticeably lighter, and that is exactly what a kid feels right away: the bike is easier to lift, steer and control, the first bunnyhop comes sooner, and on the pumptrack or in the skatepark more energy is left for riding. Less weight means more control, and more control means more fun.

On top of that come parts you rarely see on kids' bikes: a mid bottom bracket with sealed bearings, a three-piece CrMo crank, a sealed rear hub with a 14mm axle and the Odyssey Springfield U-brake that is also fitted to the big bikes. The Primer 18 even rolls on Odyssey Path Pro tyres. In short: a real BMX in kids' sizes, not a toy that is done after one summer.

Blueprint, Primer, Scout and the signature bikes

On 20 inch it starts with the Blueprint, the way into the Sunday world at a price that makes you look twice. Above it sits the Primer, which with a sealed mid bottom bracket, a cassette hub and a three-piece CrMo crank already brings a setup you can ride for a long time. The Scout goes one step further with a CrMo down tube and dropouts, Odyssey Path Pro tyres and Odyssey Twisted PC pedals.

If you want a bike the way the pros ride it, look at the signature models: the Forecasters of Aaron Ross, Brett Silva, Broc Raiford, Jared Duncan and Maca Grasset, Brett Silva's Silvawave, Jake Seeley's Street Sweeper, Erik Elstran's EX, Broc Raiford's Darkwave Authentic and Gary Young's Wavelength and Soundwave bikes. If you like it bigger, there is the Model C in 24 inch and the High-C in 29 inch.
