MTB Shoes Clipless

A fixed connection to the pedal. These clipless MTB shoes take a two-bolt (SPD) cleat recessed into the sole – clipped out, you simply keep walking. The stiffer sole puts power into the pedal, and the Stealth tread keeps you upright on foot as well. Prefer resting loose on pins? Then see flat MTB shoes.

MTB Shoes Clipless FAQ

How does the clipless system work?

A small metal plate (cleat) is bolted under the shoe and snaps into the pedal. You release by twisting the heel outwards. The cleat sits recessed in the sole, which is why you can walk normally in these shoes – unlike road cycling shoes.

Do I need anything else?

  • Cleats: They come with the pedal, not with the shoe.
  • Matching pedals: Two-bolt (SPD), not the three-bolt road system.
