SunRace

SunRace was founded in Taiwan in 1972 and first supplied entry-level drivetrain parts, mainly to North and South America. The mountain bike boom made the company grow fast, and from the late nineties the range moved step by step into higher levels. In 2000 SunRace bought the English hub gear pioneer Sturmey-Archer (founded 1902) and built up its European sales based in the Netherlands. Today many bike brands spec SunRace as original equipment, and in the aftermarket its cassettes, chains, rear derailleurs and shifters stand for good value, from 7-speed up to the 12-speed MTB cassettes.
