Dia-Compe

Dia-Compe is the brake brand of the Japanese company Yoshigai from Kadoma in Osaka Prefecture, which built its first bicycle brake in 1930. A US subsidiary followed in 1975 and a Taiwanese one in 1987. In BMX, Dia-Compe parts have been classics since the late 70s: the MX1000 and MX890 side pull brakes, the AD990 U-brake and levers like the Tech 77, Tech 99, Gold Finger and Dirt Harry are still found on old school restorations as well as on street and dirt bikes.
