What makes a good BMX handlebar?
A good BMX handlebar is made from heat-treated 4130 CrMo - lighter and far less prone to breaking than plain steel. The differences are in the butting: the more often the tube is butted (multi-butted rather than single), the more precisely the material sits where the forces act, which saves weight without costing strength. Premium bars for park and flatland are made from high-grade titanium, offering the best weight-to-strength ratio of all. More on this in the category FAQ
