How to install a bottom bracket on your BMX bike (video)

Sooner or later a bottom bracket wears out. If you are not sure how to fit a new one, this video shows the whole job.

Bottom brackets split into loose ball and sealed bearing types, and loose ball bearings are mostly found on cheaper beginner bikes. Sealed bearings come in different sizes – from the largest outer diameter down: US-BB, MID-BB, SPAN-BB and EURO-BB. You can spot a EURO-BB by its thread; it is rarely used on a BMX.

Important: check first whether your crank has a 19 mm or a 22 mm axle.
