The Maxxis Severe is an ultralight XC race tire and the first choice when it gets wet and muddy. Its narrow tread cuts through thick mud and delivers the necessary grip, while the MaxxSpeed compound clearly reduces rolling resistance and sticks reliably to wet roots and rocks.
The new MaxxSpeed compound is a high silica compound for XC racing with around 25 % less rolling resistance than 3C MaxxSpeed and better wet traction. EXO Protection is a densely woven, cut and abrasion resistant layer in the sidewall, lightweight and flexible, for trail and XC. Folding tire, tubeless ready: run tubeless with sealant.
