The Onza "Ibex TRC" MTB Tire - 29 Inch (foldable) is Onza's all mountain tire. High grip and safety paired with low rolling resistance is what the Ibex has been known for since 2008, and the current version got a more aggressive tread with taller knobs and a softer rubber compound. The tightly spaced centre knobs roll fast and offer plenty of sharp braking edges, the open side knobs hold on loose gravel just as well as on wet roots. The TRC Trail Casing with 60 TPI and nylon sidewall reinforcement is the compromise between low weight and puncture protection for trail to all mountain riding, the Soft Compound 50 rubber combines 50a in the tread centre with grippy 45a on the side knobs. The Ibex won the tire test in BIKE magazine 09/2022. Foldable Kevlar bead, tubeless ready. The Ibex works front and rear and is a good rear tire when a Porcupine RC or Aquila is up front.
