The Pride Racing "Gravity PRO Carbon" BMX Race Rim - 24 Inch - 36H is a carbon rim made from Toray T700 carbon that Pride Racing developed exclusively for BMX racing on a 24 inch cruiser. Its profile with a height of 30mm and a width of 30mm keeps wind resistance low and makes the rim stiff vertically and laterally, at 435g according to the manufacturer. It has brake tracks and can be run with V-brakes or disc brakes, front or rear, and it is tubeless compatible, for which you need a rim tape, a valve and a tubeless tire. The 36 spoke holes are meant for 3-cross lacing, radial lacing is not allowed, and Pride recommends a spoke tension of 110 kgf. It fits tires from 24x1.50" to 24x1.75", the valve hole is drilled for Presta valves, and the finish is UD Gloss with a water decal under the varnish.

Carbon rim notice
On carbon rims, single layers of the laminate can crack, usually from hard landings or overloading. Such damage from use is not a defect: it is covered neither by the statutory warranty nor by any manufacturer's warranty. A rim with cracked layers should be checked before it is ridden again.
Our recommendation: carbon rims are best suited to experienced, professional use. Front wheel rather than rear, and park, dirt or race rather than street. Land clean and you keep the weight advantage for longer. Worth being aware of.
