Schwalbe "Shredda Rear Ultra Soft Gravity Pro Radial" MTB Tire - 29 Inch (foldable)

The Shredda Rear is Schwalbe's gravity tyre for the rear wheel, designed from the start for the radial casing: an open tread with a shovelling effect and deep knobs for excellent bite, which generates plenty of braking and driving traction especially on soft ground. Compared with the Shredda Front the tread depth is a little lower, in return it brings more stability. The radial casing enlarges the contact patch and filters out bumps noticeably better, the tyre deforms more locally and virtually sucks itself onto the ground: more grip, more comfort and more safety.

Ultra Soft is the softest Schwalbe compound, built for maximum damping and maximum grip and just as grippy in colder temperatures. The casing: Gravity Pro, the most robust construction with the best puncture protection for harder use or heavier bikes, two-ply (2x67 EPI) with an additional casing layer and APEX fabric reinforcement, here as a radial casing. Folding bead, Tubeless Ready (TLR): can be run tubeless with sealant. In the radial casing the casing threads are woven at a blunter angle, so the tyre conforms to the ground more closely and puts about 30 percent more rubber on the trail at the same pressure.
