The absoluteBLACK "GRAPHENpads Disc29" Disc Brake Pads - SRAM Code, Motive are the disc brake pads from absoluteBLACK for the SRAM Code calipers from 2018 and SRAM Motive (pad shape Disc 29). The organic-ceramic friction compound contains specially modified graphene instead of copper or heavy metals, and the backplate is graphene coated – according to the manufacturer pad and rotor temperature drop by up to 35 % against comparable pads in machine tests, with no fading on long descents. For all weather conditions; in very abrasive conditions (mud, wet sand) the organic compound wears faster than a sintered one. The backplate also carries cooling fins.
The set for one caliper contains two pads and a spring and comes in a reusable aluminium can. Winner of the iF Design Award 2023.
