The
Arise "Crystal" Topcap + Topbolt + Star Nut - 1-1/8 Inch
is used in 1-1/8" steerer tubes which offer no internal thread for the use of a topbolt. The star nut is pressed here into the shaft and thus serves as a thread replacement. The front brake cable can be routed through the hollow bolt. Nothing then stands in the way of handlebar rotation.
