At first glance the Maxxis Ardent looks like the Ardent Race, but its taller knobs move it towards trail and all mountain riding. It keeps the good damping and rolling qualities and adds more bite in rougher terrain. A light duty trail tire that rolls fast in dry conditions.

The dual compound tread combines two rubber compounds in one tread, with their properties and layout tuned to the tire's intended use. EXO Protection is a densely woven, cut and abrasion resistant layer in the sidewall, lightweight and flexible, for trail and XC. Folding tire, tubeless ready: run tubeless with sealant. The tanwall version is the same tire with a brown sidewall.
