The Reverse Components "Black-One D-2" MTB Direct Mount Stem bolts straight onto the fork crown instead of clamping around the steerer. That makes a short, stiff connection between bar and fork, which is what downhill asks for. The reducer sleeve in the box turns the Ø35mm clamp into one for Ø31.8mm bars, so you are not tied to one bar diameter. In the lower section the clamp runs without a gap, so the force is spread evenly across the contact area. That is exactly what carbon bars need.
