The Chase "RSP 5.0 Pro XXL OS20" BMX Race Frame is the aluminum race frame Chase developed its RSP line into, with feedback from pros Connor Fields and Joris Daudet in every version. It is built from 7005-T6 aluminum: the top tube is hydroformed and double butted, the down tube hydroformed and triple butted, the stays are muscle formed, and the seat tube has an aero profile.
The frame is made for disc brakes only. The enclosed CNC machined dropouts leave room for many calipers and take post mount or flat mount brakes via an adapter sold separately. The chain tensioners for 10mm axles are built in, so the hub needs removable axle bolts. The brake housing runs inside. From Expert XL up it has a tapered IS42/52 head tube and a Press Fit BB86 bottom bracket, the small sizes up to Expert a straight 1-1/8" head tube and Euro BSA. The OS20 sizes are made for OS20 wheels, forks and tires and need an OS20 fork according to Chase.
In size Pro XXL OS20 it has a 21.5" top tube and weighs 1.72 kg according to Chase. Aero seat post and seat clamp are not included.
