The Galfer "FD465" Disc Brake Pads - Hope E4, RX4 are the replacement pads from Galfer for Hope disc brakes with the E4 caliper and the RX4 in its Shimano version (RX4-SH); according to Galfer they also fit the Lewis LH4 and LV4. You pick the compound as an option, both are semi-metallic with an organic share on a steel backing plate: Advanced (G1851) is made for wet and muddy conditions: basalt fibres and a coating absorb moisture, the pads brake very quietly, progressively and with plenty of power, resist heat and go easy on the rotor; Pro (G1554T) is the race compound for tough conditions, wet or dusty; it is extremely heat resistant, keeps its power on long descents and stays quiet. One pair covers one caliper, a pad spring is included. The backing plate colour tells the compounds apart: red for Advanced, petrol for Pro.
