The Galfer "FD487" Disc Brake Pads - Magura MT5, MT7 are the replacement pads from Galfer for Magura disc brakes with a 4 piston caliper (Magura MT5, MT7, MT Trail (front)). You pick the compound as an option, all three are semi-metallic with an organic share on a steel backing plate: Performance (G1053) is Galfer's all-round compound with a balance of power, noise and durability and progressive, consistent braking; Advanced (G1851) is made for wet and muddy conditions, basalt fibres and special coatings absorb moisture and keep the braking power steady there; Pro (G1554T) is the race compound for extreme descents, it keeps its power at the highest temperatures and needs no bedding-in. One set of four individual pads with two retaining bolts covers one caliper. The backing plate colour tells the compounds apart: red for Advanced, petrol for Pro, black for Performance.
