Weight
The heaviness of a BMX part, measured by weighing. It's worth noting that weight specifications for BMX parts can vary and may not always be precise. Several factors contribute to this:Manufacturer's weight specifications may be inaccurate or incomplete. The weight of two identical parts can also differ. We cannot weigh every individual part. For example, if there are handlebars in different heights, the manufacturer usually provides just one weight specification for all heights. When weighing two identical tires, you might get two different results.

The Hutchinson "Griffus 2.5 Racing Lab Hardskin" MTB Tire - 29 Inch (foldable) is the front tire of the Griffus family from the Hutchinson Racing Lab and the choice of riders like Carson Storch, Kilian Bron, Yoann Barelli and Cecile Ravanel. The tall, aggressive rows of knobs give cornering stability, steering precision and braking grip, and the tread is designed around wide rims. Mounted at the rear, the 58 mm wide Griffus 2.5 is the tire for the most demanding tracks where braking control is paramount. The Racing Lab version with Hardskin casing: 66 TPI with bead to bead reinforcement against pinch flats and cuts, plus the Race Ripost rubber compound with firm structural support and a softer surface on the side knobs that deforms more and rebounds slower to soak up big landings and hard hits. Folding tire, tubeless ready, e-bike compatible.
