The Knipex "CoBolt XL" Compact Bolt Cutter - 250 mm is the Knipex compact bolt cutter in 250 mm: the efficient lever mechanism cuts medium-hard wire up to Ø 6,0 mm, hard wire up to Ø 4,3 mm, piano wire up to Ø 4,2 mm with surprisingly little hand force, so spokes, brake cables, bolts, rivets and screws. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approx. 64 HRC, a recess near the pivot makes cutting thicker round stock easier, and the gripping surface below the joint holds and pulls wires from 1 mm. The XL version is operated with two hands and amplifies the hand force 40 times.
