The Maxxis Rekon Race is a true XC champion and took a World Cup win with Nino Schurter in Mont Sainte Anne. The semi slick with the lowest profile tread in the Maxxis XC line is fast, agile and, with secure cornering grip, the choice for dry courses and short track racing. Run it front and rear or at the rear paired with a more aggressive front tire such as the Rekon or Forekaster.
The dual compound tread combines two rubber compounds in one tread, with their properties and layout tuned to the tire's intended use. EXO Protection is a densely woven, cut and abrasion resistant layer in the sidewall, lightweight and flexible, for trail and XC. Folding tire, tubeless ready: run tubeless with sealant. The Wide Trail (WT) sizes are optimised for rims with 30 to 35 mm inner width. The tanwall version is the same tire with a brown sidewall.
