It gives you the benefits of a waxed chain without the effort of hot waxing, so no crockpot and no solvent strip. Its wax molecules are polar and bond chemically and mechanically to the steel of the chain instead of merely coating it. That keeps the drivetrain clean, lowers friction and stops grime from building up. Stan's states 200+ miles of longevity per application and recommends cleaning the chain with Stan's Drivetrain Cleaner first and letting the wax cure for at least eight hours.
