Wolf Tooth "GeoShift Performance 1°" MTB Headset - EC44/28.6 | EC44/40 tapered changes the head angle of your frame by 1 degree: 1 degree slacker for more calm on fast descents, or fitted the other way round 1 degree steeper for quicker steering. Unlike angle headsets with flat lying bearings, the bearings here sit in line with the steerer, which takes friction and load off them and stops the creaking spherical angle headsets are known for. Machined in Minnesota from 6061 aluminium, with black oxide chromium steel bearings from Enduro and the triple sealing of the Wolf Tooth headsets. Only for frames with EC or ZS cups, not for integrated (IS) headsets. Pick the version by head tube length: Short for 90 to 114mm, Long for 115 to 140mm.
