The absoluteBLACK "GRAPHENpads Disc33" Disc Brake Pads - Magura MT5, MT7 are the disc brake pads from absoluteBLACK for the Magura MT5, MT7, MT5 PRO and MT7 PRO four-piston calipers (front brake only on MT Trail SL and MT Trail Sport). The organic-ceramic friction compound contains specially modified graphene instead of copper, the backplate is graphene coated and carries cooling fins – according to the manufacturer pad and rotor temperature drop by up to 35 % against comparable pads in machine tests, with no fading on long descents.
Consistent bite and modulation from the first corner of a descent to the last. As an organic-ceramic compound the pads wear faster than sintered ones in very abrasive conditions (mud, wet sand). The set for one caliper comes in a reusable aluminium can. Winner of the iF Design Award 2023.
