BSD is a rider-owned BMX brand with roots dating back to the summer of 1991. It emerged from a group of friends who made BMX videos together (like "Stress Kings"). Today, BSD is an award-winning brand (Ride UK "Brand of the Year" 2011 & 2012) known for high-quality BMX parts and apparel.

Who founded BSD / How did the brand start?

The brand grew organically from a group of BMX friends. Grant Smith, the current owner and a trained mechanical design engineer, began applying his technical knowledge to BMX parts in 1998. The very first BSD product was a custom-made, extremely durable 44t sprocket (10mm thick). Starting in 2005, the product line was steadily expanded.
