The Halo "MT-SS / MXRC" Driver - Short Shimano HG is the short Shimano HG type driver for Halo MT Supadrive SS and MXRC rear hubs. It has an alloy HG carrier with Supadrive pawls and a Cr-Mo driver unit. The bushed version is the original, lighter MXRC driver, but according to Halo it wears faster than the roughly 15 g heavier sealed bearing version. The sealed bearing version also fits older MXRC hubs with a bushed driver, but because of the different bearing position it must be used with the short HG lockring that comes with it. A standard lockring will not clear the outer bearing.
