The Maxxis Aspen TeamSpec uses the same tread as the production Aspen but comes with the lighter, faster and more supple ONE70 casing with 170 TPI. The 2.25 width is the lightest choice, the 2.40 brings more volume for rough race courses. An XC race tire with World Cup wins and Olympic gold.
The new MaxxSpeed compound is a high silica compound for XC racing with around 25 % less rolling resistance than 3C MaxxSpeed and better wet traction. ONE70 is the extremely fine 170 TPI casing of the TeamSpec models, lighter and more supple than the production casing. EXO Protection is a densely woven, cut and abrasion resistant layer in the sidewall, lightweight and flexible, for trail and XC. Folding tire, tubeless ready: run tubeless with sealant. The Wide Trail (WT) sizes are optimised for rims with 30 to 35 mm inner width.
