The Maxxis Rekon is a high volume tire with plenty of damping, ideal for the daily ride in the woods or all mountain shredding. Even in rough terrain the Rekon does not let you down: a light duty trail tire designed to go fast in technical terrain. A popular combination is the Rekon at the rear with the Forekaster up front.
The dual compound tread combines two rubber compounds in one tread, with their properties and layout tuned to the tire's intended use. EXO Protection is a densely woven, cut and abrasion resistant layer in the sidewall, lightweight and flexible, for trail and XC. Folding tire, tubeless ready: run tubeless with sealant. The Wide Trail (WT) sizes are optimised for rims with 30 to 35 mm inner width.
