The Renthal "Moto V2" BMX Race Handlebar - Ø22.2mm is Renthal's aluminium BMX race handlebar in its second version. Instead of a welded steel bar Renthal uses a modular construction: tubing made from a high strength 7 series aluminium alloy and a bolt-on cross brace held by patented aluminium clamps with a single bolt each. This keeps the bar at full strength with a significant weight saving over a welded steel bar. Following feedback from Renthal's riders the V2 has a much straighter geometry with 6° backsweep and 2° upsweep. The tubes are shot peened for increased fatigue life and anodised against corrosion, and the graphics and the central set-up grid are permanently printed, which leaves the anodised layer intact.
According to Renthal the Moto is the most successful BMX racing handlebar in the world, with 52 World Cup wins, eight World Championships and Olympic gold. The Renthal "Moto V2" BMX Race Handlebar - Ø22.2mm comes in three rises: 5.5" and 7.5" at 710mm wide, 8.25" at 730mm wide, all with a 22.2mm clamp.
