What makes a good BMX frame?
A good BMX frame is made from heat-treated 4130 CrMo - the steel allows thinner walls at the same strength and so saves weight. The dropouts decide the rest: investment-cast or forged ends survive grinds and hard landings far longer than laser-cut or stamped plate. Butted tubes (multi-butted rather than single) put the material exactly where the forces act. High-end frames for BMX park and BMX flatland are made from high-grade titanium, offering the best weight-to-strength ratio of all. More on this in the category FAQ

kunstform Picks from the Frames category
Our history with BMX parts did not start when we opened kunstform in 2003: some of the team have been riding longer than the shop has existed, and most of us are still on a bike today. So we know pretty well which parts we can trust. A kunstform Pick therefore only goes to what we would bolt onto our own bikes: parts where the quality and the value are right, and that you will enjoy for a long time.
