The Surly "Spacer Kit" MTB Single Speed Conversion Kit turns a rear wheel with a geared freehub into a single speed wheel: the kit takes single speed cassette cogs on any Shimano-style freehub body. Anodized aluminium spacers in several widths set the right chainline for a road, track or mountain crankset. The large-diameter stainless steel lockring holds everything together, matches the outside diameter of the spacers and installs with a common Shimano cassette lockring tool. The cog is not included.
