The BOX Components "Hex Lab Carbon" BMX Race Rim 20 x 1-1/8" 28H is BOX Components' carbon rim made from ultra high modulus carbon fiber, vacuum molded and seamless. It is tubeless ready, has a machined brake track for V-brakes and a Presta valve hole, and fits tires from 20 x 1" to 1-3/8". At 299g it saves noticeable weight over an alloy rim, front or rear.

On carbon rims, single layers of the laminate can crack, usually from hard landings or overloading. Such damage from use is not a defect: it is covered neither by the statutory warranty nor by any manufacturer's warranty. A rim with cracked layers should be checked before it is ridden again.
