The Ikon "UD Carbon" BMX Race Rim - 24 Inch (507) - 36H - Disc is Ikon's carbon rim with 36 holes for 24 x 1.50" to 1.75" cruiser wheels, meaning a 507mm bead seat diameter. It is made of unidirectional Toray T700 carbon, which Ikon says is stronger than common 3K weaves. It weighs 440g. The aero profile is 30mm wide and 30mm high, the nipple holes are angled.
The rim has no brake surface, so it is not meant for V-brakes: it works at the front, and at the rear with a disc brake. It is tested by the Chase race team. Ikon recommends at most 7.58 bar (110 psi) and a spoke tension up to 115 kgf.

Carbon rim notice
On carbon rims, single layers of the laminate can crack, usually from hard landings or overloading. Such damage from use is not a defect: it is covered neither by the statutory warranty nor by any manufacturer's warranty. A rim with cracked layers should be checked before it is ridden again.
Our recommendation: carbon rims are best suited to experienced, professional use. Front wheel rather than rear, and park, dirt or race rather than street. Land clean and you keep the weight advantage for longer. Worth being aware of.
